What is CF?
Sendmail is a mail transfer agent or MTA; it’s a program designed to send email from one computer to another. Sendmail is popular on the Unix platform and supports different mail transfer methods including the popular SMTP method. Sendmail generates a configuration file when it is setup and this configuration file which is a critical file needed to correctly configure and successfully send email is a plain text file that is saved with the CF file extension.
Sendmail allows you to set up an email server from localhost but in order to do that, you must first set it up and to do that the configuration file must be setup correctly. Users can edit the file manually as well.
How do I view a CF file online?
To view a Sendmail configuration file online, upload it to Jumpshare and click to view the file in your browser. Like the file viewer for programming languages, the Sendmail configuration file viewer recognizes parameters and highlights them in the file viewer. Users can copy any line of text from the configuration file. The file viewer also supports line numbers making it easier to refer to a particular line of commands when you’re collaborating on a CF file.
